As of January 1, 2025, only the new Turkish Republic Identity Card will be accepted for land registry transactions. According to a statement from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, old ID cards or other identity documents will no longer be valid at land registry offices.

This change aims to enhance the security of land transactions and make the identity verification process faster and more efficient. Officials from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre have urged citizens to obtain their new ID cards as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience.

Citizens who have not yet received their new Turkish Republic Identity Card can apply for it at local civil registry offices. Additionally, the application process can be initiated through the e-Government system.
